Driven by Love: The Heartwarming Story Behind Outta Bounds Golf
Outta Bounds Golf is more than a driving range — it’s a labor of love, built by family for families. Located in Manhattan, Montana (just a short drive from Bozeman, Belgrade, and the Gallatin Valley), we’ve created a Topgolf®-style golf entertainment experience with covered bays, interactive targets, fun games, Whiffer Golf, and brick-oven pizza — all designed for beginners, golfers, and kids alike.
Corey + Scott Van Dyke
Corey and Scott Van Dyke are the heart behind it all. With years of entrepreneurial experience — from running Broadway Brew Coffee Shop to leading a multi-million-dollar sales company — they knew how to build a business. But what matters most to Corey is the part you can’t measure: the laughter across the range, families making memories, and a community that feels like home. Hearing guests rave about the experience (and our brick-oven pizza) makes every hard day worth it.
Where they’re at now: Corey is usually the first friendly face you’ll meet — focused on hospitality, the “little details,” and making sure every guest feels cared for. And when she’s not at Outta Bounds, her favorite place to be is with her grandkids. Scott is the steady builder behind the scenes — always improving the property, fixing what needs fixing, and making sure the range runs the way it should.
Scott’s Dream (25+ Years in the Making)
Scott dreamed of a target-based driving range on their Manhattan land for more than 25 years. In 2023, with the growing popularity of Topgolf-style golf entertainment and the need for more public golf options in the Gallatin Valley, that dream finally became real. Scott helped create the outdoor setting guests love — from shaded areas to the details that make summer nights feel like the best kind of Montana.
Where it’s at now: The dream keeps growing — more ideas, more improvements, and more ways to make Outta Bounds Golf feel like the kind of place you want to come back to again and again.
Nathan Van Dyke
Nathan is a co-owner and co-manager who brings a background that ranges from pizza kitchens to teaching PE. After moving back from Las Vegas, he found real joy watching families bond over golf, pizza, and friendly competition. His work on shaded areas and solo golfer bays reflects his steady dedication — and he’s always dreaming up what’s next.
Where he’s at now: Nathan keeps a foot in both worlds — community and business. He helps lead day-to-day operations at Outta Bounds while also coaching basketball at Manhattan High School, which means he’s all about teamwork, energy, and bringing people together.
Zach Van Dyke
Zach jumped straight into the whirlwind and helped bring our interactive targets to life with his reliability and love for golf (and pizza). He loves seeing familiar faces become regulars and watching first-timers turn into “we’re definitely coming back” families.
Where he’s at now: Zach is still doing what he does best — showing up steady and making things run smooth — while also teaching PE at Amsterdam School. If you’re here for a group outing, party, or a busy night on the berm, there’s a good chance Zach helped make it happen.
Taylor Van Dyke
Taylor joined the family and Montana in one big leap — new husband, new home, new town, and a brand-new business all within weeks. Her love for people and her creativity show up everywhere, helping make Outta Bounds feel welcoming, organized, and fun. She’s also a big fan of Whiffer Golf, and she makes every visit feel special.
Where she’s at now: Taylor wears a lot of hats. You’ll often find her working hard at Broadway Brew, and she loves sneaking away on mini trips back to Las Vegas to visit her family — then coming home ready to jump back into Outta Bounds life with fresh energy and ideas.
Our Family + Our Team
We owe a huge thank-you to our daughter Shaleigh, her husband Zach, and their four kids — Ava, Emmy, Jett, and Quinn. Quinn was born in July, and we already know she’s going to love hanging out at Outta Bounds Golf just as much as her siblings. We’re also deeply grateful for our incredible employees, whose hard work and dedication helped make our early seasons possible.
Where we’re at now: As we’ve grown, our team has grown too — and we’re proud of the people who help make Outta Bounds Golf a place families can count on for great service, great food, and a great time.
